One Minute For Peace

Using Our Platform to Pray

Here at Fifty Shades of Grace, we’re not just here to inspire — we’re here to intercede. In addition to sharing scripture and reflections, we also want this to be a platform where urgent prayer needs and movements can be amplified and shared.

Today, we’re honored to share a global prayer initiative that moved us deeply.

One Minute for Peace

During World War II, there was a small but powerful group of people who paused whatever they were doing at the same time each night to pray. Their prayers were focused, unified, and persistent — lifting up cries for peace, safety, and divine protection over their communities.

It was said that when they prayed, entire cities stood still. And eventually, after only a short time, the bombings ceased.

Now, a similar invitation is circling the globe — to once again pause for a single minute each day and lift up urgent prayers for our countries, our leaders, our families, and for peace on Earth.

People across time zones are already committing to this rhythm of prayer:

If we understood the tremendous power of prayer, we would be amazed.

If you feel led, please forward or share this request with others. Your minute might be part of a miracle.

🔄 Help us spread this. Send this blog to a friend, text it to a prayer partner, or post the prayer times in your church group chat. Every share expands the circle of prayer.

And if you happen to know who originally started this effort — Patty would love to connect with them personally and hear more about the heart behind it. Please reach out through the site or social media!

Together, even one minute can move mountains. 🙏

One-Minute Prayer for Global Peace and Healing
(Christian Edition)

Father God,
In the name of Jesus Christ, we come together from every nation.
The earth groans—
Wars are raging, leaders are deceived, families are falling apart, and the truth is under attack.
The poor are trampled, the innocent are harmed, and Your name is mocked.
But You are still on the throne.
We cry out:
Let peace rise and evil fall.
Rescue the oppressed.
Restore justice.
Convict the hearts of rulers.
Break the grip of greed and violence.
Pour out Your Spirit on the world, and draw every soul to Your Son.
Jesus, come and reign.
Bring healing, hope, and holy fire.
We trust in You, Lord.
Amen.

Global One-Minute Prayer for Peace

God of all nations,
Our world is in crisis. Please have mercy on us!
Wars rage, leaders lie, greed poisons the earth, and the innocent pay the price.
Homes are broken, the poor are crushed, and violence spreads like fire.
But You are greater than all the problems of the world, Lord!.
We cry out to you from every corner of the earth trusting that hear us and will send help to Heal what is broken, to silence the war drums.and break the chains of corruption

Lor, protect the weak.
Guide the powerful.
And stir every heart to seek peace, justice, and mercy.
Let truth rise, and darkness fall.
We place our hope in You in the Name of Jesus, Savior of the world

Amen.
